South Glasgow University Hospital and new Royal Hospital for Sick Children
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) are undergoing a massive acute services migration programme that will run over the next eight weeks.
A huge amount of the programme will have no impact on populations' out with NHSGGC but there will be a number of patients who come to Glasgow for regional and national services. Many of these adult services are not being impacted upon but clearly the closure of the current Royal Hospital for Sick Children at Yorkhill and its relocation to a brand new hospital in Govan on the campus of the former Southern general Hospital is one that many parents will be interested in.
Below are links to a New Hospitals Leaflet which contains useful information about the new children's hospital, migration dates and also key info about the other hospitals that are closing. The other document shows the timetable of changes.
