Outpatient Information
If you have an outpatient appointment, please go to the Outpatients reception desk where your details will be checked and you will be directed to the waiting area. You are welcome to bring a relative or friend with you on the day of your appointment - having someone with you when you see a member of staff can be helpful.
We will always do our best to make sure you are seen at the time booked for your appointment, however staff can be delayed or called away because of emergencies. Depending on the clinic and the reason for your appointment, you may be seen by a nurse first, who will carry out tests such as checking your weight and blood pressure. You might also have blood tests and have to wait for the results before the doctor or healthcare professional sees you. How long your visit lasts will depend on your treatment. You may need to have some tests, such as an x-ray, which could mean visiting another department.
Refreshments are available from the cafeteria which is situated on the ground floor and is open from 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 7pm Saturday and Sunday.
