The differences between the various duties

- Differences in the Duties - a table showing the clear differences between general and specific Gender Equality Duty (GED), Disability Equality Duty (DED) and Race Equality Duty (RED) to help promote best practice within NHS Shetland.
Equalities and Human Rights Commission (EHRC)
The new Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHCR) opened on 1 October 2007.
The commission brings together the work of the three previous equality commissions: the Equal Opportunities Commission,the Commission for Racial Equality, and the Disability Rights Commission. It also takes on responsibility for the other aspects of equality: age, sexual orientation and religion or belief, as well as human rights.
